What Speeds up Aging

What Speeds up Aging: Causes of Early Aging

Ageing or aging is the natural process during which various physical and physiological changes in the human body occur gradually over time. Sometimes it fastens or speeds up from the normal rate of change and sometimes it delays or occurs late from the normal speed of aging. People who are living their life following normal life style get normal aging, people who are living their life following standard life style (means well balance of healthy diet, physical activity and health care) get delay aging and people who are living their life following bad life style (means lack of healthy diet and physical activities, bad habits like smoking, alcohol drinking and etc) get early aging.
When people get covered by the ageing process means through the deteriorating physical and psychological activities, social changes occurs automatically and living life moments become hard and so hard for the person till death. My motto is to increase awareness about health and fitness among all the Indian people so that they can delay their aging and live healthy life. First of all they need to known the causes of early aging. Below I have discussed some aspects and habits indicating early aging process:

Mental Sadness
It’s all about the stress, depression, anxiety, sorrow and worry about anything which lead to the lack of mental happiness and cause mental sadness. Stress is stress whether it associated with any cause or without cause, can really weaken the mental and emotional health of the person and thus the physical health. Gradually it starts interfering with life. The conditions get worse when a person starts taking each and every negative thing in his life very serious which affects all the physical and physiological functions of the body and undoubtedly speeds up the aging process.
When person gets stressed or depressed, the secretion of some negative hormones (norepinephrine and cortisol) increases which affect immune system and cause high blood pressure which ultimately lead to the enhanced risk of cardiovascular diseases, obesity and weight gain. Stressed people has tendency to get their hair gray in early ages.
Depression is also a type of mental sadness and has been categorized as a psychological problem. It leads to the risk of heart diseases, type-2 diabetes, obese, dementia, digestive disorders and cancer thus call early aging.
Irregular Skin Care
Irregular or improper skin care also leads to the early aging as it stimulates the early aging process due to the lack of regular skin care habits. Skin gets dehydrated, wrinkled, spotted and dry when it not gets proper care such as drinking enough water, using moisturizer, taking proper diet rich in vitamins and minerals and etc. Lack of proper skin care affects the production of skin proteins called collagen and elastin which lead to the wrinkled, dry, saggy and tired look of skin (signs of aging).
If the person is not protecting skin with the UV rays by applying the sunscreen, the skin starts getting spots and fine lines. It destroys the natural oil coating of skin and reduces the skin ability to repair naturally. Skin starts losing its natural firmness, elasticity, glow and youthfulness and become thin, dull, wrinkled and dry.
Bad Eating Habits/Unhealthy Diet Plan
Bad eating habits include food without fresh salad, vegetables and seasonal fruits. Bad eating habits stimulate the oxidative stress in the body due to the harmful free radicals. This condition leads to the skin damage, wrinkles, and even cancer. Early aging can be slow down by adding some seasonal fruits and vegetables to the diet on daily basis.
Bad habits of eating Broiled, grilled, processed and high heat fried foods accelerate early aging. Aging can be slow down by eating food cooked using lots of water (steamed, stewed, poached and etc) as it provides ability to the body to fight with aging.
Lack of Physical Activities/Sedentary Life Style
The person living sedentary life means inactive daily routine with lack of proper physical activities are more prone to the early aging. Sedentary life increases the risk of occurrence of life threatening health issues such as obesity, obese, overweight, diabetes, type-2 diabetes, cardiovascular problems, kidney diseases, hormonal imbalance, metabolic disorders and digestive disorders. To combat such issues in life and slow down the aging, a person needs physical activities of at least 30 mins a day. People involved in living sedentary life have shorter leukocyte telomeres in comparison to the active people.
Irregular Sleeping Pattern
Irregular sleeping patterns also accelerate aging before time as it disturbs the brain functions which lead to the psychological disorders. It is very necessary to have sound sleep during night for at least 6 hours a day. Improper sleep creates dark circles under eyes, gives tired look, disturb metabolic functions and then digestive disorders from which all health issues generate. A person who is not taking proper sleep during night loses his/her capacity of mental alertness which leads to the early aging.
Smoking, Drinking Alcohol and Use of the Other Harmful Products
Smoking is very bad habit and injurious to health however the person used of it loses his/her ability to identify between the bad and good. Smoking, alcohol drinking and use of other harmful products are some bad habits which undoubtedly speed up the aging process before time. Such habits gradually deteriorate the functions of major organs like heart, liver, brain and kidney which are major indications of life ending. Skin gets wrinkled due to the lack vitamin C and increases the risk of skin, mouth and lung cancer.
Nicotine chemical found in cigarettes affects the blood vessels wall and narrow them thus obstructs normal blood flow to the body parts. In this way body does not get proper oxygenated blood and required nutrients. Some other chemicals found in tobacco damage the skin proteins called collagen and elastin thus skin loses its natural strength and elasticity and becomes saggy and wrinkled prematurely.
Lack of Regular and Pleasurable Sex
Sex is the most important aspect of the healthy life, the lack of which accelerates aging before time. Modern life is very busy, stressed and timeless, in this way couples hardly get time fully enjoy their life thus they are living life lack physical and mental satisfaction. Proper sex is a natural antidepressant which stimulates mood and boosts the body to fight with the aging process. It enhances the production of some active chemicals like endorphins which boosts the immune system, lower down the stress level as well as reduces the risk of early aging.
Eating Foods rich in Sugar, Salt, Saturated Fats
People eating foods rich in salt, sugar and saturated fats are more prone to the early aging as it activates an enzyme causing loss to healthy collagen thus skin gets wrinkled and saggy. Food rich in saturated fat is very bad for the heart as it thickens the wall of arteries and obstructs the normal blood flow throughout the body. It also leads to the aging of skin. Eating too much salty food causes high blood pressure which leads to the heart attacks and strokes. Saturated fat rich food increase the risk of overweight and obese and thus diabetes, type-2 diabetes and dementia.
AGEs (Advanced Glycation End Products)
AGEs are the Advanced Glycation End Products which speeds up the aging process before time. It causes gradual damage to the major body organs, skin, joints and etc.
High blood sugar level increases the production of aging accelerating AGEs in the body that’s why type-2 diabetic people look aged before time. However, it is not limited to the diabetes and may occur to the person eating whole wheat (and wheat based foods like bagels, breads, muffins, cereals, and baked products) as it contains Amylopectin-A carbohydrate which increases blood sugar level to a great extent. Whole wheat and baked wheat products also contains gluten and carcinogenic chemical acrylamide which are potential health damaging chemicals.
Lack of Fresh Salad, Vegetables and Fruits in Diet
Food devoid of fresh and seasonal salads, vegetables and fruits accelerates early aging process due to the proper lack of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and phytonutrients which are most essential for the health. Lack of proper diet on daily basis reduces the power of immune system thus reduces the body power to fight with infections.
Lack of Food Rich in Antioxidants
Eating food, fruits and vegetables lack of antioxidants stimulates the process of early aging. Foods low in antioxidants reduces body capacity to neutralize the harmful effects of free radicals which lead to the skin damage. Food lack of antioxidants induces AGE formation thus lead to the aging. The need of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients in the body can easily be fulfilled by taking proper seasonal fruits and vegetables in the diet on daily basis.
