Trendy foods that have traumatising effects on the body

Everything that has been proven healthy is good for your health, but only to a certain limit. Here are some foods that are quite popular for being healthy but may also have some side-effects.

    Coconut water

    Coconut water is considered a nutritious and healthy drink worldwide, but you will be shocked to know that it can cause some traumatising effects on your body, especially if you are allergic to it. Besides, drinking too much of coconut water is not good as you may have to rush to the washroom very often.  Apart from this, people who have problems related to bowel movements should also avoid drinking it too often as it can have over laxative effects on the digestive system.

    Almond milk

    Almond milk is a dairy-free, cholesterol-free, healthy and nutritious drink containing high amount of protein, calcium and essential vitamins and minerals. However, it could trigger problems in people who have chronic migraine. Therefore, if you have migraine problem, consult your doctor before consuming almond milk. Thickeners used in commercial almond milk may cause gastrointestinal problems.

    Quinoa seeds are loaded with protein, iron, calcium, amino acid, potassium, vitamin E, zinc and fiber and are known to be very healthy. However, they could cause health risks in some people as they have natural coating of saponins that can lead to irritation in the stomach.

    Goji berries are packed with nutrients and are considered healthy. However, things may be different for people who consume goji while on medication. It's best to avoid goji berries completely when taking medicines for a medical condition to avoid possible side-effects.
